Here are two ways my caricaturing services can be hired out by you for your entertainment:

1. If you live in the Halifax, Nova Scotia area, (or if you live any where else and are willing to pay all my transportation, lodgings and meals) you could have Caricatures by Don at your next party! Christmas, New Years, birthdays, bar mitzvahs, . . . whatever! Excellent caricatures of all your guests for them to take home as a party memento. Please take note: the style I use when drawing caricatures in a "for hire" situation is a simpler, black-line-only style, and rather less exaggerated than the celebrity caricatures found in my Gallery (many people consider that a good thing!). Some samples, with photos of their subjects, can be seen below. To ask me about fees, my availability for the date of your event, or any other questions you may have, e-mail me. 2.    Want to see yourself, your family, a friend, or anyone else you know in one of my caricature portraits like the celebrity ones found in my Gallery? Well, that service is available to you right here at Caricatures by Don!
Here's how it works:
       1) You e-mail me four or five good quality, clear, close-up photographs of the person or people you'd like to have caricatured. The more angles the photos are taken from, the better.
       2) I do a pencil sketch, like some of the ones found on the Sketches page, and e-mail a low-resolution copy of it back to you, to give you some idea what the final drawing will look like.
       3) Once you e-mail a response approving the sketch, you will forward to me the payment for the finished work, then I will begin work on the more detailed full-color drawing (done in coloured pencil on 11" by 14" paper). That drawing will be mailed to you upon its completion. Please note that these caricatures will be highly exaggerated, so be prepared for what you will look like, and please don't take offense. It's all in good fun! The price of these portraits will, of course, vary depending on the number of people to be drawn:
